THIS WEBSITE ISN’T DESIGNED TO HARM VCA

VCA sent us a cease and desist, demanding that we remove all comments about them from this website. We certainly never intended to cause harm or mislead anyone. The information posted was based on personal conversations, published information on Reddit, and other employer review websites.

Our intent remains simple - to inform Pet Parents.

We focused on VCA first because we’re based in California, and (it is our opinion that) VCA has a big presence here. Also, VCA is owned by Mars, Inc., which, according to the article in the Atlantic is “the largest owner of stand-alone veterinary clinics in the United States”. So that’s why we began by highlighting information about VCA. But we definitely don’t want them to feel targeted, and we certainly want to be accurate in our advocacy work.

We believe pet parents are smart, and that everyone has their own perspective on corporate motives. We certainly don’t want to impose our opinions onto you. So please, don’t take our word for it. Do your own research!

To be certain that our intent remains clear, and that VCA does not feel as though we are targeting them or misleading Pet Parents, we have removed some comments about VCA from our website and have provided references for others. It’s important for us to note, and we hope that VCA isn’t upset at us for saying this: we are of the opinion that there are good veterinarians working at VCA. We believe there are many great veterinarians at many veterinary clinics and corporations.

The button below will take you to a selection of links and articles for your review that highlight some of the challenges in the veterinary industry. Many of these articles mention other chains as well (not just VCA).
